Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
The Microsoft Certified Professional credential is for individuals who have the skills to successfully implement a Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an organization. Hands-on experience with the product is necessary to successfully achieve certification.
Many individual MCP courses also count toward core or elective credit for
certification tracks such as the MCSE, MCSA, MCAD, MCSD, MCDBA and MCDST.

  • Requirements for MCP:
    MCP candidates are required to pass at least one of the MCSE Core requirement which is a current Microsoft certification exam that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise (a current exam is any that has not been retired). MCP exams are developed with the input of professionals in the industry and reflect how Microsoft products are used in organizations throughout the world.
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
    Training & Exams:

    Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers are required to pass a total of seven exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. These exams are developed with the input of professionals in the industry and reflect how Microsoft products are used in organizations throughout the world. To become a MCSE, you must pass a total of seven Microsoft exams. Below are the tracks we offer for the MCSE exams, however check the windows 2000 full track if you need more options to choose from.
  • Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Recommended Certification Track
  • Microsoft® Windows® 2008 Recommended Certification Track

The MCSE on Windows Server 2003 will require 7 exams (6 core and 1 elective.) The core exams are:

Exam 70-290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment
Exam 70-291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
Exam 70-293: Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
Exam 70-294: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure

MCSE 2003 Core exam: Client Operating System

Exam 70-270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional

 or

Exam 70-620: Microsoft Windows Vista, Configuring

MCSE 2003 Design Required exam:

Exam 70-298: Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network

MCSE 2003 Elective exams: (1 required)
