Cisco Certified DevNet Associate

This is the one I am most excited about – Cisco have for a long time recognised the advancement of network automation and programability so have introduced a certification – which is brilliant.

For anyone who have been to a Cisco Live event you will have noticed the big interest in the DevNet Zone and now you can certify in it.

Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist

You now have a choice of all the following topics to specialise on with your DevNet Specialist certification

  • Automating and Programming Cisco Enterprise Solutions
  • Automating and Programming Cisco Security Solutions

To become a Cisco Certified DevNet Professional you need to pass the Core exam 300-901 and then one of the specializations above.

So what does this all mean?

Cisco have said for anyone currently studying for any of the exams to be retired, keep going, but if you are a way out and thing the new exams would be better for you then maybe switch focus onto them.
